Work Out Wednesday – Want You Back

Want You Back


No one is good all of the time.  Especially not me!  There’s a reason my moniker is “CupcakeDuJour”… Sure I’m little, and I’m cute, and whatever.  I also eat cupcakes.  Lots of em.  In fact, there’s a rule in our house, that if you bring dessert, chocolate, or cupcakes, in the door, I get to eat them.  


Work hard.  Play hard.  That’s how I operate.  
When the time comes to tighten up my routine (and my waistline) I simply work harder.  

With some events around the corner, and a shoot or two on the horizon, it’s time to erase some of the fun I’ve been having, the good ol fashioned hard way.  Early morning cardio, circuit training, and clean eating.


The title of this work out suited my goal so perfectly, I just had to give it a go…

Do three sets of the following work-out, using a 50/10 split.
1) Lateral Side Lunge Using a Chair

*I added a jump in between to make it tougher 😉

2) 2 Low Side Lunges/1 Clean and Press


3) Touch Downs

4) Low/medium/full squat using weights

Get It Back!!
Remember, excluding those with medical conditions or other limitations, weight gain and loss is a numbers game.  If intake > output, you will put on weight.  Likewise, if you expend more energy than you take in, you will lose weight.  

(Considering how bad I am at math, it’s surprising I can wrap my head around this concept.) 

Frustrated with the lack of treats?  Tired from all the working out?  Missing your guilty pleasures?  You can still have fun!  You just need to reframe it in a way that will help you reach your fitness goals.  

I didn’t drink any coffee, ate really clean, and worked out twice today.  How you ask, did I make that fun?
