Work Out Wednesday – Some Things Never Change

When considering hotel bookings, I always inquire after fitness facilities. Of the many things I expect on site, a gym is near the top of the list (after wi fi, before Continental Breakfast). When considering places to stay for last year’s Ink N Iron event, I happily stayed away from the Queen Mary, in exchange for fitness facility and pool, at the Comfort Inn, Long Beach.
Reasonably priced, clean, and friendly, it was made even better by the Universal Gym, stationary bike, elliptical machine, and treadmill, located in the hotel’s fitness room.
This time last year I was in the throws of P90X and completed the Shoulders & Arms work out in their cozy lil work out room.

Fast forward to Ink N Iron 2012. When the time came to pick a hotel for this year’s INI, I immediately suggested my old standby on E Willow Ave.
Over the course of the weekend, Steve Prue shot models, covered bands like Suicidal Tendencies, The Vandals & the Misfits, and took a million tattoo portraits, while I assisted with paperwork, hotel bookings, and wrangled models.
But not before slipping off to the gym each morning…

Do you love it?!?
Yes I love it!
