Work Out Wednesday – Hoola Hooping

The Who, What, Where, When, and Why of my fitness regime

Hoola Hooping

One of my favourite things about getting fit, is that it teaches you new and fun ways to use your body.

When it comes to working out, I like to down-play the “work”. Fitness definitely requires dedication, focus, time and effort, but if it starts to feel like a 9-5 most people will clock out.

I recently made the Fast & Furious 800 Rep Challenge even more fun by replacing the skipping intervals with… Hoola Hooping!

“Hooping is cardio without counting. It improves core strength, tones your stomach, arms, thighs and butt, and is a low-impact, high-energy workout that can burn approximately 400 – 600 calories in an hour.” –www.hoolahooping.com

I did the following workout, twice through:

1:00 Hula Hooping

25 Push Ups

25 Knee Tucks

1:00 Hula Hooping

25 Squats

1:00 Hula Hooping

25 Triceps dips
