It’s not as egocentric as it sounds…
I first met artist Aaron White at the 2013 Taboo Sex show. He had a series of beautiful, paintings hung as part of their erotic art exhibit. Lucky for me, he stopped by the SuicideGirls booth to introduce himself. I was at once taken by Mr. White’s polite demeanour and sparkling grin. He is easy both easy to talk to, and incredibly entertaining to listen to. In fact, I was so comfortable with his energy, and intentions, that we arranged to meet up for a live painting session after just one conversation.
And so, just weeks later we spent an entire afternoon together, talking, plotting, planning, painting (him) and standing in roller-skates (me).
I took my first live drawing session as an opportunity to challenge myself, and provide something unique to Aaron… so I posed standing for my entire 3 hour session! I was unaware upon arrival, but standing poses aren’t very common for long life drawing sessions, as it is very tiring, and difficult to hold the same shape for long stretches.
Apparently, it is quite common for models to pass out during life-drawing sessions. Most often it is due to failure to breathe, or locking out their knees. (If I had to guess, low blood sugar could also be a cause, since models seldom eat right before modelling!)

The finished painting was completed just in time for a debut showing at XOXO Erotica Vancouver, last October.
Mr. White also brought along his pieces of some of my fellow SGs, including Rydell, and Rin Suicide. By night’s end we had sold our painting, and made a nice sum for our local charity.
Most recently, I collaborated with Aaron for one of the monthly life-drawing sessions at The Cobalt’s weekly art night “SNAG”. It was an evening of 2- 10 minutes poses, with a varied group of artists sketching me in charcoal, paint brush, and pencil.
It was a super fun night, and I am very much looking forward to seeing the results pop up all over the Internet*
*hint hint – if you were there, show me what you got!
