Ink N Iron

Another month… Another convention!

I recently attended my very first Ink N Iron Festival!

It was a whirlwind of Tattoos, Kustom Kars, Pin up Beauties and adventures…

It was amazing to witness an event outside of my usual tour of comic and tattoo conventions. Usually I’m held up behind a booth, inside a giant, concrete bunker for days on end. Instead, this convention had indoor and outdoor events, live entertainment (from The Buzzcocks to Burlesque), and featured beautiful vintage cars, in addition to the tattoo showroom on board the Queen Mary herself.

Being onboard the Queen Mary was of special interest to me, as I lived and worked on ships for 3 years. It was incredible to see how much these vessels have changed in the past 90 years, and even more fun to see what has stayed the same!

It was definitely a case of “old life meets my new life”, which I found really inspiring.

I was super excited to meet some of my favourite pin up babes!!
